Custom Solutions

At Dixon, creating The Right Connection® isn’t just a tagline; it’s a promise. Our products offer reliability and efficiency that can be tailored to custom specifications. If we don’t have the exact component you need, Dixon’s team of experienced engineers can design and manufacture volume-based custom products.

For example, a request was submitted for 1”, 1-1/4”, 1-1/2”, and 2” King Crimp® combination nipples with special threaded end connections to coincide with Dixon’s King Crimp program. Dixon was able to quickly design and manufacture the products right here in the USA with the same precision and quality as our standard offerings. The prototype assemblies were coupled with King Crimp ferrules and ready for use in a data center cooling system.

Data centers often have tight deadlines for when they need parts. For this project, the timeline was:

  • Received request
  • 1” style researched and designed 24 hours later
  • Engineering approval process completed in two weeks
  • Eight hours of design time for each additional part
  • 24 hours of programming and machine time to create the final product
  • Products ready for customer within 2-1/2 weeks of initial inquiry

Summary

Combining industry engagement, engineering expertise, and manufacturing capabilities, Dixon is actively engaged in developing innovative components for data center cooling systems. Whether it’s solving a misalignment issue to prevent leaks, improving a product currently on the market, or developing something new, our experienced engineering team is ready to take on the challenge. Dixon delivers—because cooling can’t wait.
